Partnership

On Easter Day 2024 our two churches signed a historic agreement to come together as one church and became St Andrew’s with Trinity Church, Shifnal. We are Methodists and Anglicans working in partnership. We share a common vision “Reaching out together to share God’s amazing faith, hope and love.” Together we run two buildings, St Andrew’s Church and the Trinity Centre, supporting a whole host of community projects and offer a wide variety of contemporary and traditional worship. We are working towards becoming a full ecumenical partnership in the next few years.

The story of your relationship as a couple may have begun fairly recently or years ago. Either way, getting married is a whole new beginning for you, your family and others in your life.

The Trinity Centre

Revd Roger Dunlop is our Methodist Minister and can offer Methodist baptisms, weddings (including for same sex couples) and funerals.

Janet Lander is our Senior Steward and leads on the management of the Trinity Centre.

Claire Dinwiddy is our Trinity Centre Coordinator and is responsible for the day to day running of the centre.

Mark Williams is our Youth worker, supporting Youth Alpha and developing opportunities to connect with secondary school aged young people.

Andy and Lisa Hedges lead our HeartSpace contemporary worship at the Trinity Centre that takes place on the third Sunday of the month at 10.30pm.

Taizé Worship – we offer a monthly reflective service with chants and prayers from Taizé , usually on the last Sunday of the month at 6pm.

Community Projects

Bereavement Café – on the first Thursday of each month at 10.30pm – 12noon. A place for quiet conversation and mutual support following loss. A relaxed, friendly and safe environment to talk with others, share memories, and make new friends.

Say Yes Christian Youth Café – run by Christians Together in Shifnal and District to offer young people a place to connect with the church.

Youth Alpha – run by Mark Williams as a Christian enquirers course and as a preparation for those who would like to be confirmed.
